We make probiotic yeast exosomes for anti-aging skincare. Christopher Brett and Younes Medkour founded the company and run the research.

The research runs at Concordia, where it started.

- Concordia University in Montréal, in the founders' own research: how a cell packages and releases a vesicle, and what changes inside a cell as it ages.
- Why there is a company
- The work produced an ingredient. Nanomère incorporated in Montréal to supply it to skincare formulators.
- Where it runs
- R&D runs at Concordia, on the benches it started on, and the two founders run it themselves.
- The incubator
- Nanomère joined District 3, the innovation centre and startup incubator at Concordia, in June 2026.

Christopher Brett, PhD
A membrane biologist. He works on how vesicles form, how they fuse, and what decides where their contents end up. At Nanomère he runs the material: how the vesicle is made, what goes inside it, and what keeps it intact in a formulation.

Younes Medkour, PhD
An aging biologist. He works on what changes inside a cell as it ages, and which of those changes can be pushed back. At Nanomère he runs the testing: which endpoints an anti-aging ingredient is measured against, and how those assays are run.
Expertise
The platform runs on six disciplines. We cover all six.

- The organism, its genetics, and the conditions S. boulardii releases vesicles under.
- Extracellular vesicles
- How they form, what they carry, and how to isolate them without destroying them.
- Fermentation
- Growing the organism in a bioreactor and keeping the run reproducible.

- Getting a chosen cosmetic active inside the vesicle, and confirming it is there.

- What a skin cell does with an ingredient, and what a formulator needs it to survive.

- Which markers of aging skin an ingredient is worth measuring against.
